Wire harness design software for connector-level engineering

Design connector-level wire harnesses with cavity-aware routing, compatibility checks, conductor guidance, and verified BOM and from-to outputs in CircuitTwin.

Start with physical endpoints

Place multipole connectors, define their cavity count, and route numbered conductors between connector cavities, loose terminals, splices, grounds, busbars, or explicit open endpoints. Route bends remain editable instead of becoming separate wire records.

  • Connector geometry follows the configured cavity count.
  • A from-to record retains the source and destination port identifiers.
  • Open endpoints remain visible for later completion.

Apply installation context

A Structure Box is a resizable canvas region with temperature, sealing, voltage, vibration, and derating requirements. Contained harness objects are checked against that environment; missing safety evidence remains UNKNOWN rather than becoming an assumed pass.

Generate connected reports

The same project graph produces engineering inventory, BOM, cut-list, from-to, wiring-diagram PDF, configured CSV, and versioned CircuitTwin interchange data. Quantities come from placed objects and cavity assignments, so report discrepancies can be traced back to the drawing.

Important limitations

  • CircuitTwin Harness is not a replacement for required engineering review, certification, or applicable standards.
  • A recorded wire length is not automatically a physical cut length unless routing or manual length evidence has been provided.
  • CircuitTwin XML is an open project format; proprietary CAD transfer needs a separately validated adapter.

Common questions

Is CircuitTwin Harness a full CAD replacement?

No. The current public product focuses on connector-level harness definition, traceable validation, and structured outputs. Proprietary CAD authoring and certified release workflows require separate tools or validated adapters.

Can engineers use their own part information?

Yes. The workspace supports customer-managed library records and manual connector/cavity hardware information. Generic starter records are examples, not approved commercial part numbers.
