Generate a wire harness BOM from the design graph

Generate connector, terminal, seal, plug, wire, splice, busbar, and ground BOM information from the verified harness project model used for engineering reports.

Use placed project evidence

The BOM reads placed connectors, loose hardware, assigned cavity terminals, seals, plugs, conductors, splices, busbars, and grounds. Counts are grouped by recorded part or specification reference instead of being re-entered in a separate spreadsheet.

Configure the report view

In the engineering inventory report, engineers can show or hide optional columns, rename headings, reorder visible columns, and add property-backed columns. The same active profile drives the configured CSV export.

Export without claiming native CAD support

BOM information is available in the workspace report, configured CSV, engineering PDF, and the CircuitTwin interchange package. The package includes versioned CircuitTwin XML and normalized tables; proprietary CAD compatibility requires a tested target adapter.

Important limitations

  • Quantities are only as complete as the placed objects, cavity assignments, and recorded wire lengths.
  • A blank or generic part reference remains visible and is not converted into a fabricated manufacturer number.
  • The current report-column profile applies to the engineering inventory and configured CSV, not every export layout.
